Announcement of Vivo X Note: the ultimate flagship
Today in China, Vivo made a big presentation, which presented three iconic new items for itself at once. Let's start the story about them with Vivo X Note, which is positioned as a premium business smartphone. Therefore, it is quite logical that the characteristics here are top-level and the price tag is raised as much as possible.
On the front panel of the Vivo X Note, a large 7-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3080x1440 pixels with an aspect ratio of 21:10, support for HDR10 + and a refresh rate of 120 Hz was installed. The matrix here is LTPO, allowing you to adapt the refresh rate of the picture in the range from 1 to 120 Hz based on the displayed content. The screen sampling rate was 240 Hz and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner was also integrated here.
As befits a 2022 flagship, the Vivo X Note is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, paired with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM. They equipped the smartphone with a UFS 3.1 flash drive with a capacity of up to 512 GB. Among the flagship features of the novelty, it is worth noting IP68 water protection, an independent audio chip, a linear vibration motor, stereo speakers, a liquid cooling system with a heat dissipation area of 47132 mm² and an NFC module.
What else demonstrates the top level Vivo X Note is autonomy and charging. The flagship is powered by a 5000 mAh battery, offered fast wired charging at 80 W, wireless power at 50 W and reverse at 10 W. It will take 32 minutes to fully charge the battery through the wire. It is worth noting that the engineers managed to fit the filling and a capacious battery in a case with a thickness of only 8.75 mm. But the weight is impressive - 216 grams.
Particularly at the presentation, they focused on the fact that Vivo X Note received a separate key for adjusting sound modes. This is a kind of analogue of the mode switch lever in OnePlus devices. The resolution of the front camera was 12 megapixels and it is based on the Sony IMX663 sensor.
Vivo X Note is also interesting in terms of the main camera, in terms of technology, everything here looks quite decent:
- 50 MP main module, Samsung GN1, 1/1.3ʺ, f/1.57, optical stabilizer;
- 48 MP ultra-wide, Sony IMX598, 114-degree field of view, f/2.2;
- 12 MP portrait camera, Sony IMX663, f/1.98;
- 8 MP telephoto lens, OmniVision OV08A10, f/3.4, 5x optical zoom and 60x digital.
"Seasoned" is Vivo's proprietary V1 image processing chip, which can process images at high speed, as well as the "Zeiss Natural Color" color processing algorithm, created in collaboration with Zeiss. The smartphone is managed by the proprietary OriginOS shell based on Android 12.
Vivo X Note will go on sale on April 15 in three memory modifications: 8/256 GB - $942, 12/256 GB - $1020 and 12/512 GB - $1100.
