The alignment of forces in the tablet market in the first quarter of 2022

Not so long ago, analysts summed up the results of the first quarter of this year in the smartphone market. Have they been disappointing and disappointing for most companies with the exception of Apple? And how are things in the tablet market? And then experts stated a drop in sales. But still there are companies whose “pills” were willingly bought.

 

The leader in the first quarter of this year was Apple, which controls almost a third of the market - 31.5%. In quantitative terms, this is 12.1 million delivered tablets, which is 4.6% less than a year earlier. In second place was Samsung with a score of 21.1% compared to 19.6% compared to the first quarter of last year. Shipments of the company's tablets grew by 3.5% year on year.

Rounding out the top three is Amazon, whose shipments in the first quarter of this year amounted to 3.7 million units and this allowed it to take 9.6% of the market share. Fourth place belongs to Lenovo, whose share is estimated at 7.8% and the number of tablets shipped was 3 million. Compared to the same period last year, a drop of 25.9%. Deliveries of tablet PCs also sank from Huawei, which lost only 1% in a year. According to the results of the first quarter of 2022, the company's share was 5.8% against 6.8% a year earlier.

 

Analysts give a positive outlook for this year, predicting an increase in the supply of tablets. Among the reasons for the increase in shipments, they cite the release of new devices by companies such as Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi and Realme.
