Meizu M6S – review and comparison with Xiaomi Redmi 5
Meizu has always been famous for the quality and stylish design of its products, regardless of the price range. Even budget devices, it pays its due share of attention, which is not found in every manufacturer. It is this distinctive quality that has allowed the company to become a world-class brand. Even if their smartphones do not occupy the leading lines of synthetic tests, they are definitely worthy of respect.
So the M6S is a really nice and very well made smartphone. Despite the fact that the device is positioned as a budget solution, it has a pleasant to the touch all-metal body and a widescreen display. As you can see, the novelty is made taking into account current trends in the mobile market. Only the presence of a microUSB connector was disappointing, despite the symmetrical cutout in the case, which clearly hints at the USB-C format. For what reason, manufacturers install a modern USB-C connector only “out of hand” - it’s not entirely clear, but the trend is common to everyone.
In our video review, we get to know Meizu M6S in more detail, and also compare it with the main, in our opinion, competitor - Xiaomi Redmi 5. Looking ahead, let's say that, despite the approximately similar price segment, these are still very different smartphones for completely different different categories of users.
