Nothing Phone (1): design and release date
Transparency and creativity
Startup Nothing, led by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, intends to enter the smartphone market. The announcement of Nothing Phone (1) will take place in the summer and as it approaches, we will learn more about it. So, it was previously expected that the premiere could take place on June 9, and a hint of this date was seen in one of the messages of Karl Pei himself. But Andtoid-PC has given a different release date for Nothing Phone (1).
With reference to the European dealer, July 21 is named as the date of appearance of the smartphone. True, it is not clear whether the presentation of the smartphone will take place on this day or whether its sales will start on this day. It is expected that the price tag for Nothing Phone (1) may be around $500 and it will be one of the original smartphones in terms of design.
So, in an interview with Wallpaper, Carl Pei said that Nothing Phone (1) will offer an exterior "turned inside out." The design deserved such an epithet due to the presence of a transparent back cover, which will open the gaze of the “innards” of the smartphone. The frame will be made from recycled aluminum and will offer wireless charging.
The choice of a transparent case was dictated by the desire to offer a uniform design for all Nothing devices. According to Karl Pei, one of the problems of most companies is the lack of a single design code and identity. The lineup of a number of companies looks alien and there is no unity of style.
The head of the company reiterated that the hardware basis of Nothing Phone (1) will be a chipset from Qualcomm and will offer a proprietary NothingOS shell. According to rumors, the smartphone will have a Snapdragon 778G processor, a 90-Hz AMOLED screen, a 4500 mAh battery, 8/128 GB of memory and a triple camera with a 50 MP main sensor.
