Samsung cuts smartphone production plan for 2022
The crisis and problems in the market will also affect the leader
According to analysts, this year will be a crisis for smartphone manufacturers, they will sign for the fall in production and sales. We have already heard that Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo have reduced the volume of ordered components by 20%, and Apple, in turn, will miss 20 million iPhones produced. The same fate will not bypass Samsung.
It was reported that the South Korean giant will produce 30 million fewer smartphones than planned. Among the main factors for reducing the plan are the war in Ukraine, the shortage of components and rising inflation. Naturally, a decrease in demand is also expected, which is also taken into account by smartphone manufacturers.

Samsung originally planned to produce 310 million smartphones in 2022, but negative factors forced the South Korean giant to adjust its plan to 280 million units. Despite record revenue in the first quarter of this year and 73.7 million smartphones shipped worldwide, Samsung is forced to change its plan for all of 2022.
