UMIDIGI launched the Z smartphone with big ambitions. Here you have a hint of premium, which is expressed in a well-cut case, and power, when the ten-core Helio X27 is taken to perform tasks. We checked the quality of workmanship, learned about performance in practice and found out if UMIDIGI Z managed to surprise us.

After getting acquainted with the design, as it turned out, our guest does not contain any obvious highlights and does not impress with an expressive appearance. It is assembled perfectly, but all the positive from the visual perception disappears when you see the screen dotted with fingerprints, which readily absorbs fat from the hands. The display is not bad, without obvious distortions in color reproduction, but if suddenly the shades do not fit, you can adjust them in the system settings. UMIDIGI Z is not designed for selfless pastime in games. The problem is not that he is not able to “drag” demanding games without problems, but that after half an hour of playing he is hot to the limit. The camera is another weak point of the smartphone. During the day, the pictures are tolerable, and when the lighting deteriorates, noises appear that only increase with sunset. Detailing suffers, there are problems with sharpness, and here they clearly saved on camera software.
