Xiaomi Mix Flip will be released with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 already in 2024, together with Redmi K70 and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro
The new king among flip smartphones?
According to a source from China, Xiaomi is preparing for the release of several devices based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The leak shows that in addition to the Redmi K70, the upcoming tablet and a small foldable phone of the brand will also be equipped with this chipset.
The tablet that the leak appears to be referring to is the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. A recent report claimed that the Pad 7 Pro will feature a 144Hz LCD display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and a square-shaped camera module similar to Xiaomi's 14-series smartphones. The small foldable phone with the SD8G2 chip that the leak is talking about appears to be the Xiaomi Mix Flip.
Most likely, the company will release two complex smartphones in 2024. The Mix Fold 4 is expected to launch in the second half of the year, while the company may introduce a flip-style foldable phone called the Xiaomi Mix Flip in the first half.
There is currently no information on other Mix Flip specifications. However, the schematic above suggests that it will have a triple camera setup with a 3x telephoto lens on the back.
The IMEI database of the device, which appeared in September, showed that its model number is 2311BPN23C. It is assumed that the Xiaomi Mix Flip may appear on the market together with the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in April 2024. It is also said that the first generation Mix Flip may remain exclusive to the Chinese market. The Xiaomi Mix Flip is expected to face competition from the Honor Magic Flip and the Vivo X Flip 2, which are expected in the first half of 2024.
